Mylls,

Every memory we made, I keep close. Even on days when my mind is cluttered and tired, the thought of you still lingers. You have never left me — I am always wondering about you, always holding you near, and my heart keeps you there like a guardian who refuses to leave his post.

You remind me of a flower: gentle, warm to look at, too beautiful to pick — and yet the wanting was too strong to ignore. I let that flower wither. Perhaps I never made a place where you could grow, and I will regret that for as long as I live.

Now I chase your shadow everywhere. In every crowd I see your silhouette; every time I close my eyes I see your face; in every quiet moment I hear your soft, sweet voice. That is how I know I could never love anyone the way I love you.

The flower I once held, I want back. This time I will tend the soil. I will learn from every mistake I made, because the wish to care for you has never left my heart — not for a single day.

There are many things in my life I regret. I do not want you to be one of them.

If there is room in your heart to forgive me for letting this flower wither, will you let me try once more to help it bloom?
